ENTRANCE TO THE POSILLIPO TUNNEL

Seneca describes the tunnel as about seven hundred metres long, irregular in form, similar to a prison in which the light of the torches make the darkness even more evident, while the dust is so thick that it takes the breath away of the traveller who disturbs it with every step he takes.
